Routes you sponsor
Health and Care Worker Visa
You hold the sponsor licence, and you assign the certificate of sponsorship. Only health and care organisations can sponsor on this route. Care providers in England also need active registration with the Care Quality Commission. You pay the certificate fee and the immigration skills charge, and neither is reduced for this route.
View the routeSenior or Specialist Worker Visa (Global Business Mobility)
You hold the sponsor licence, and you assign the certificate of sponsorship. You also have to be linked to the overseas business the worker is coming from. Of the five Global Business Mobility routes, this is the only one that carries the immigration skills charge, and the only one whose certificate costs £525 rather than £55.
View the routeSkilled Worker Visa
You hold the sponsor licence, and you assign the certificate of sponsorship. The worker then applies for their visa using that certificate. You pay the certificate fee and, where it applies, the immigration skills charge.
View the routeUK Expansion Worker Visa
You hold the sponsor licence, and you assign the certificate of sponsorship. This route is only open while your business has not started trading in the UK. The certificate costs £55, and no immigration skills charge is payable. In exchange you have two years to get the UK business trading.

Global Talent Visa
You have no sponsorship role in this route. There is no licence to hold, no certificate to assign, and no immigration skills charge to pay. Hiring is simple: you run the same right to work check you would run for anyone. On the academic and research fast track, though, your job offer is what the endorsement is built on, and your HR director signs for it.
View the routeHigh Potential Individual (HPI) Visa
You have no sponsorship role in this route. There is no licence to hold, no certificate to assign, and no immigration skills charge to pay. Hiring is about as simple as UK immigration gets: you run the same right to work check you would run for anyone. The work is at the other end, because this permission cannot be extended and nobody can hold it twice.
