Take a short course that is incidental to your visit. Not for long study.
You may be eligible for a Short-term study visa if you’re taking an English language course in the UK. For longer courses, use the Student or Short‑term Study (English language) routes as applicable.
You must be a genuine visitor with sufficient funds and accommodation, and any study must be incidental to your visit and within the time limit.
You can stay in the UK for the length of your course plus an extra 30 days as long as your stay is no longer than 11 months. You cannot undertake long study or work in the UK under this route.
Apply online, provide biometrics and evidence of your plans and accommodation. Carry course details when travelling.
